What's up everybody? My name is Eric Boone. I was born July 9, 1983 to the proud mother of Genell Boone. Since, I was
born I have lived my entire life in Carthage, MS. Carthage is a small city located in the middle of Leake County, which is
in the middle of Mississippi. Carthage is a very nice place to live; with a low crime rate and with caring people that look
out for the well being of themselves as well as you. Carthage is becoming a main attraction for a lot of people. Just a couple
of years ago a nissan plant open up in Canton, Mississippi, which is about 20 minutes southwest of Carthage. This caused more
jobs to form in Carthage and also caused a lot of people to move to Carthage, so that they want have to drive so far to get
to their job in Canton.
To the southeast of Carthage we have two casinos that have also opened the door for more jobs and they are the Golden
Moon and the Silver Star casino. We also have a theme park that is located in the same area as the casinos. So I guess you
can say that we are in the middle of it all. So if you are ever in central Mississippi be sure to stop by Carthage and check
us out.
